"wonderful weekend"

So this past weekend was, to say the least, interesting.

It started out getting my hair done, and when I looked in the mirror...did not expect what I saw...needless to say, it was blonder...something I have been trying to get away from for a while now.
Then on Saturday, what was supposed to be a fun filled day of golfing turned into me throwing out my back and being in agony for the rest of the weekend. I did have fun golfing but had to quit at the 14th hole. On the front 9 though, scored a 56, which considering my back issues....was okay.
So then I got home, got ready and went to Gina's 3in1 party where most of the night...actually the whole damn night was spent in more agony. bbboooooooo.
Then Sunday, not only did I have orange hair for church, but I looked like a robot because I couldn't move because of my back. :-/
Then after church I drove out to Thousand Oaks to get my hair fixed...other then adding a few low tones...didn't help much.
Went home and passed out.
That was my weekend. Today I went to the chiropractor so now my back is feeling much better! Still a bit painful but better. I have come to terms with my hair, some like it some people give me this pity look....whatever.
I guess now I am "strawberry blonde"
I will be going darker as soon as I can, I have to wait a little bit or else I will fry my hair.

going to see Harry Potter tonight! that makes up for the not so wonderful weekend.

gift of voice

so i am very pleased today......while I am going no where fast with work....

I am actually excelling in singing. I will be singing my first ever wedding on Dec. 10th. I was actually specifically requested to sing at this wedding.

Most of it is going to be church music, however I will be singing the

Ave Maria by Bach GounodClick on the title to hear it.
Anyway, this is good stuff because not only will it be paying well...(.most likely over $100 for one hour or so) but it will give me exposure and that is a good thing.
Anyway, I thought I would share...
Also, a couple of weeks ago I had a guy approach me after the 12 o'clock mass and tell me what a good singer I was. He said that my breathing and diction was on point! That means that all my voice lessons are paying off.
He *said* he worked for a christian radio station in LA and he said that if he ever had a gig he would tell me because he would like me to sing at it.
But I didn't care so much about that, I am just glad that he noticed that I was trained professionally.
So I believe it is official people....I am a professional singer :-)
So ya, if you ever want to catch me live I'm at Incarnation ROCKIN church EVERY Sunday at 1030 and the occasional 12 o'clock mass.
Also will be singing on the 17th of December at Inca for our performance of Vivaldi's Gloria, where I will be singing an aria with solo oboe, harpsichord and cello.....*grinning excessively*

Welcome

So I have been on lovely MySpace for quite a while, and I thought it was time to actually create a blog since I like it so much.

Things are going well, Geri (my boss) is in India until the 28th so I have to man the ship...

I am in a golf tournament this weekend, Office Depot is paying for me to play in it. I hope I do well, at least to the point that I don't embarrass myself.

My back and neck have been bothering me lately so I have a chiropractor appt. today and hopefully I can get an adjustment.
